An 11-year-old boy in New Mexico used his dying breath to reveal who his killer was after being stabbed.
Bruce Johnson Jr., 11, used his last breaths to tell police it was his mother who killed him.

Bruce's father, Bruce Sr., called the police after he woke up to his son screaming and found him wounded in their Hobbs, New Mexico home. Bruce Sr. found his son and his mother, Mary Johnson, unconscious with wounds that were "self-inflicted."
Emergency services arrived at their home at 1 a.m. and rushed to a local hospital. Bruce Jr. was pronounced dead at 4:19 a.m. Mary was stabilized and moved to a Lubbock, Texas hospital where she was granted an arrest warrant for first-degree murder.
The Lea County Sheriff's Office said:
"Mr. Johnson told deputies that he was asleep when he heard his son screaming. He found his son in his room, lying on the bed suffering from stab wounds."
"He went to call 911 when he discovered Mary was also stabbed, but she was unconscious in another room. Mary suffered self-inflicted stab wounds to her chest."
"Bruce Jr. was conscious upon arriving at the hospital, where he spoke with the investigator, advising his mom, Mary, had stabbed him."

It was revealed by investigators that Bruce Sr. moved with his son from New Mexico to Oklahoma to get him away from his estranged wife, who had been suffering from mental illness. At least two incidents of abuse had been reported.
Leading up to the stabbing Mary had not seen her son for 40 days. While the divorce was being finalized, Bruce Sr. relented and allowed Mary to spend some time with her son, which was when the murder happened.
