Aldi Brings Back Fan-Favorite Bakery Item But For a Limited Time Only

Aldi fans love their Aldi Finds. Whether it’s a new item or a returning favorite, they get excited. Social media lights up every time seasonal products hit the shelves.

I’ve been guilty of it myself. From giant sugar cookies to Aldi’s delicious seasonal cheeses, I can’t help but rave. Now, just in time for Fat Tuesday, a fan favorite is back—paczki doughnuts.

Paczki are Polish pastries. They look like jelly doughnuts, but they’re heavier and richer. Traditionally, they’re filled with jam and dusted with powdered sugar. They were made to use up sugar before Lent.

Aldi’s paczki only appear once a year. Fans on Reddit say they’re worth the wait. “They were delicious,” one person said. “Very authentic to what I was used to from the Polish bakeries in Chicago.”

Another Aldi shopper agreed. “I think my favorite part of these is that when you pick them up, you know it’s just not a donut. They’re just heavier and so much better overall than a regular donut.”

Aldi’s paczki come in a pack of four for $3.99. They’re filled with Bavarian cream and hit shelves on Feb. 12. You’ll find them in the bakery section while supplies last.

TikToker @aldi.mademedoit reviewed them and was impressed. “I’ve never had these before so I don’t know what the real ones taste like, but I will say they are really good and we are definitely going to eat all of these.”

The video shows the flaky layers and creamy filling. The reviewer even rates them an “8 out of 10.” That’s enough to put them on my Aldi shopping list.

Can’t find them at your store? No worries. A homemade King Cake is always an option. Or go for classic Mardi Gras dishes like jambalaya, muffuletta sandwiches, or shrimp Creole. Whatever you choose, laissez les bons temps rouler!
