The CNN purge continues. The network announced on Thursday that Don Lemon's show has been axed and he's headed to a morning co-anchor role.
"Don Lemon Tonight" will end after eight years. This comes as new president Chris Licht follows up on his promise to get rid of the network's hard-left slant. Lemon will be moved to the morning show and team up with Poppy Harlow and Kaitlan Collins.
“There is no stronger combination of talent than Don, Poppy and Kaitlan to deliver on our promise of a game-changing morning news program,” Licht said in a statement.

It is not yet known what will happen with the prime-time opening at CNN. Nor have they stated what's next for current morning show hosts John Berman and Brianna Keilar.
Lemon released a statement with regards to the move.
“The last eight years have been an incredible ride. I’ve had the opportunity to work with one of the best show teams in the business, but it’s time to shake things up.”
This follows the removal of sexual predator Chris Cuomo and the firing of "Reliable Sources" host Brian Stelter. It's debatable whether Stelter was fired for his bad ratings or for exposing himself on a Zoom call. Take your pick.
