In a move that certainly illustrates the changing of the times, newly-elected Democrat Arizona Senator Kyrsten Sinema took the Senate floor with over-the-knee boots and a mini dress.
This was a look that definitely made it seem she was headed for somewhere other than to cast a vote as a United States lawmaker from the Senate floor.

Earlier in the month Ms. Sinema was criticized for the outfit she wore during her swearing-in ceremony. Instead of being sworn in with a bible, she placed her left hand on a copy of the Constitution.

The openly bisexual Sinema is the second member of the Senate to be a part of the LGBTQ community. Additionally, is the only Senate member who is not a member of any religion.
