Failed Democrat presidential primary candidate Beto O'Rourke spoke at the Democrat National Convention on Monday, and clearly suggested that President Donald Trump is more racist that previous presidents who owned slaves.
“You had the most destructive, hateful, racist president in the history of this country who is literally tearing apart the fabric of the United States of America,” O’Rourke said.
Really? So previous presidents who actually owned slaves such as: George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, James Madison, James Monroe, Andrew Jackson, Martin Van Buren, William Henry Harrison, John Tyler, James Polk, Zachary Taylor, Andrew Johnson, and Ulysses S. Grant are just off the hook then?

How about the alleged racial slurs used by presidents like Lyndon B. Johnson? According to biographer Robert Caro, Johnson regularly used the N-word while speaking with Southern senators, and also called the Civil Rights Act of 1957 the “n***er bill.”
He's not the only one who has reportedly used that word. Other presidents include: President Harry Truman, Presidents Woodrow Wilson, Franklin D. Roosevelt, and Richard Nixon.
So, perhaps Beto should look at the real facts before accusing President Trump of something that simply isn't true. Trump has never owned slaves, nor has he ever used the n-word to my knowledge. Furthermore, he has done much more for the African American community than even Barack Obama did...including the historically low unemployment rate.
