Buttigieg Says Limbaugh 'has a Different Idea of What Makes a Man'

Democratic presidential hopeful Pete Buttigieg has finally responded to Rush Limbaugh's comment that Americans don't want “a gay guy kissing his husband on the debate stage." The former South Bend mayor claims that the conservative talk show host "has a different idea of what makes a man than I do."

"Look, I’m not going to take lectures on family values from the likes of Rush Limbaugh or anybody who supports Donald Trump, frankly," Buttigieg said on Ellen.

"You know, when I was packing my bags for Afghanistan, Donald Trump was working on Season 7 of 'Celebrity Apprentice,'" he continued.

Limbaugh said last week on his radio show that voters are "sitting there, and they’re looking at Mayor Pete, a 37-year-old gay guy, mayor of South Bend, loves to kiss his husband on the debate stage. And they’re saying, 'OK, how’s this going to look, a 37-year-old gay guy kissing his husband onstage next to Mr. Man Donald Trump? What’s going to happen there?'"

“They’ve gotta be saying that despite all the great progress and despite all the great 'wokeness' and despite all the great ground that’s been covered, America’s still not ready to elect a gay guy kissing his husband on the debate stage president," he continued. "They have to be saying this, don’t they?"

The Hill reports:

With his husband, Chasten Buttigieg, in the "Ellen" audience, the 2020 White House hopeful said, "Since when is strength about the chest-pounding and the loud-mouthed guy at the end of the bar? The strongest people I know are not the loudest people; they’re the ones who have the deepest sense of who they are and what they value and what they care about."

"And one of those people, by the way, one of the strongest people I know is my husband, Brad Pitt," Buttigieg quipped.

In an interview with ABC News the day before, Chasten Buttigieg also pushed back on the remarks from Limbaugh, who received the Presidential Medal of Freedom during President Trump's State of the Union address earlier this month.

“I’ve been dealing with the likes of Rush Limbaugh my entire life," Buttigieg said. "What I’m actually worried about are the young people in this country who are watching the historic nature of this campaign, watching how people talk about it, watching how people react to it and treat it, and wondering if this country is actually a safe place for them to be."

After Barr Tells Trump to Stop Tweeting About DOJ, He Responds in BIG Way

Washington D.C. has been the center of tension (not attention, though it is that as well) ever since Donald Trump took office.

Actual Climate Scientists Deal CRUSHING Blow To Climate Change Activists, Here's The Real Evidence

Democrats have been preaching the same message for many years now and that's the message that we only have about 10-12 years left to do something about our ever-changing climate before we start experiencing the end of the world as we know it.

They say that if we don't put an immediate stop to practically everything that we're doing ranging from driving cars, to flying on planes, to letting cows fart in the pasture, then the carbon emissions are going to be so high that it will lead to the melting of the polar ice caps.
