Senator Bernie Sanders has ended his 2020 presidential campaign, securing former Vice President Joe Biden as the Democratic presidential candidate.
To be honest, I'm surprised Bernie Mac is giving up the fight against Biden. Don't get me wrong, I don't support the socialist, but Biden is quickly spiraling and would likely be easy for Sanders to beat.
CNN reports:
The Sanders campaign held its final live public event on March 9, transitioning from packed, raucous rallies to an entirely digital operation. He communicated almost exclusively through virtual town halls and livestreams focused on the coronavirus crisis -- and how his progressive agenda, headlined by "Medicare for All," might have prevented it or helped cushion the blow.
In February, Sanders appeared poised to run away with the nomination after a strong performance in Iowa and victories in New Hampshire and Nevada, the latter by more than 25 percentage points, on the strength of his popularity with Latino voters, which had been courted relentlessly by his campaign.
But Sanders' momentum was dashed in South Carolina. Biden routed the field and then cleared it. The anti-Sanders vote rallied around him and, even with Sanders' win in California, put Biden in the driver's seat on Super Tuesday.
Perhaps Bernie got a good taste of life during this free trial of socialism we have endured, thanks to the coronavirus, and doesn't feel he is needed anymore. Everyone is out of work and receiving a government check. What else could he do at this point?

A man who has been locked away behind bars for raping a child is being released after a Massachusetts Superior Court Judge decided that there was too much of a risk of him catching the coronavirus and they want to make sure he's safe.
This makes absolutely no sense to me. Why would they let someone out of jail - a place where they are safer from the virus than elsewhere - to keep him safe from catching the virus. It's a disease transmitted by people, if released from prison, he's just going to be around more people who have been around more people as well and therefore his odds of getting the virus is far greater.
