A newly released video is causing trouble for California Democrat Katie Porter. The 2021 clip, obtained by Politico, shows Porter berating a staffer during a live video call after the person stepped into her frame.
Porter was speaking with Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm about energy and climate when the staffer appeared on screen. “Get out of my f---ing shot!” Porter shouted.
She didn’t stop there. “You were in my shot before that,” she snapped. “Stay out of my shot.”
Politico noted the outburst was edited out of the Department of Energy’s final cut of the webinar. Porter’s campaign has not responded to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.
The resurfaced clip follows another viral moment showing Porter clashing with a reporter earlier this week.
During a CBS California interview about redistricting, reporter Julie Watts asked, “What do you say to the 40% of California voters who you’ll need in order to win, who voted for Trump?”
“How would I need them in order to win, ma’am?” Porter shot back. When Watts pointed out that Porter would need a broad coalition, Porter laughed and pushed back again.
As the exchange grew tense, Porter accused the reporter of being “unnecessarily argumentative.” Watts replied that all other candidates had answered the same question.
Porter tried to end the interview. “I don’t want to keep doing this, I’m going to call it,” she said while removing her mic.
“You’re not going to do the interview?” Watts asked. “Nope, not like this I’m not, not with seven follow-ups to every single question you ask,” Porter replied.
When pressed again, Porter said, “I don’t care,” and later added she didn’t “want to have an unhappy experience” or have the awkward moment “all on camera.”
The exchange quickly spread online, with many conservatives blasting Porter for melting down under basic follow-up questions.
