Canadian Politician Calls on Government to 'Condemn' Tucker Carlson and it Backfires Big-Time

A New Democratic Party MP in Canada asked for a unanimous condemnation of Fox News host Tucker Carlson over his "anti-democratic language." The request was immediately rejected by the House as the Speaker asked other members for their response.

MP Matthew Green from Hamilton Centre was referring to Carlson's recent "Tucker Carlson Today" episode, where he suggested that the US should "liberate Canada."

Why should we allow our largest trading partner, with which we share the longest border, to become like Cuba instead of freeing it? Carlson expresses his love for Canada and its stunning natural beauty before posing this question.

Green proclaimed in the Canadian Parliament that, after conferring with other government officials, he was confident he would receive "unanimous approval" for his motion.

"If you seek it, I believe you will find unanimous consent for the following motion," Green began. "That given the rise of far-right and associated violent extremism led to the attempted insurrection in the United States, the House condemns recent comments made by Fox News personality Tucker Carlson, in which he suggests U.S. armed forces liberate Canada from the current prime minister," Green announced.

The Speaker of the House then stood up and asked, "All those opposed to the honorable member's motion, please say 'nay'."

Following a chorus of "nay" responses, the Speaker of the House promptly responded, "I regret to inform that we do not have unanimous consent."

“That kind of language is exactly what lead to the failed violent Jan. 6 insurrection in Washington,” said Green in an official statement.

“Tucker’s brand of hate isn’t welcome in Canada and elected officials — regardless of their political party — have an obligation to call that out," he continued.

Even in Canada, the lefties are obsessed with January 6.
