Chiefs Player Irate at 'Insane' Choice of Pushing NFL Playoff Game to Streaming Service

The Kansas City Chiefs will play against the Miami Dolphins on Saturday night. This game is part of the NFL playoffs, but you can only watch it on NBC's streaming service called Peacock.

Charles Omenihu, who plays defense for the Chiefs, seemed surprised to find out that the game will only be available on this streaming service.

"Us playing on peacock ONLY is insane I won’t lie," he wrote on X.

The boss of KSHB-TV, Kathleen Choal, said that the game will be shown on their channel. This was after the Chiefs got the No. 3 spot in the playoffs.

"As the GM of @KSHB41 I can confirm the game will air on linear TV for the hometown teams. So yes we will have the @Chiefs game on our station next Saturday for all our viewers!" she wrote on X.

The game can be watched on local TV in some areas, but people in other parts of the country need Peacock to see it. This is the first time an NFL playoff game is mainly available only on a streaming service.

The Wall Street Journal says NBCUniversal and the NFL made a deal for $110 million. This deal is for one year and it's to show the playoff game on the streaming service.

Tyreek Hill, who used to play for the Chiefs, will return to their stadium with his new team for this game. The Dolphins, his current team, just lost their last game to the Buffalo Bills. This loss kept them from winning their division in the AFC.
