Chipotle has brought back smoked brisket to its American and Canadian menus.
This limited-time option returned on Tuesday at select locations, the company said.
At these spots, workers sear the brisket in small batches all day long.
It's seasoned with smoked serrano chili pepper and chipotle chili pepper. After that, it’s cut into small pieces and finished with a savory brisket sauce.
"We are listening to our guests and bringing this fan-favorite menu innovation out of the vault after three years," said Chief Brand Officer Chris Brandt.
Chipotle last offered it in 2021, after spending two years developing the recipe.
Former CEO Brian Niccol shared his excitement in July about bringing back the brisket this fall.
He said, "Brisket was among the most requested new menu items as our guests loved the combination of smoked beef charred on the grill and finished with the Brisket sauce."
Before the brisket's return, Chipotle had chicken al pastor as a limited-time option. They're also testing chipotle honey chicken in Nashville and Sacramento.
