CNN: '2020 Race Is Now ‘Older and Whiter’

My oh my, CNN is really not doing themselves any favors lately! In the midsts of a lawsuit from Devin Nunes, they are still sharing cringeworthy "news" and inciting division.

On Tuesday, Senator Kamala Harris threw in the towel and dropped out of the 2020 presidential race, stating that she needed to end her campaign due to lack of financial resources.

“I’ve taken stock and looked at this from every angle, and over the last few days have come to one of the hardest decisions of my life. My campaign for president simply doesn’t have the financial resources we need to continue,” she said, “I’m not a billionaire. I can’t fund my own campaign. And as the campaign has gone on, it’s become harder and harder to raise the money we need to compete.”

“In good faith, I can’t tell you, my supporters and volunteers, that I have a path forward if I don’t believe I do,” Harris added.

After her statement, CNN anchor Brianna Keilar said on air that the presidential race is now “older and whiter.”

Reporter Jeff Zeleny said in response, “I think I was struck, Brianna, this field started in one of the most diverse fields of candidates, Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, Sen. Kamala Harris, Sen. Cory Booker also struggling, has not qualified for the next debate. We’re going to meet at the end of the year with a lot of older candidates, several white candidates.”

Keilar replied, “Incredible news today, Kamala Harris dropping out of the 2020 race. I thought that was a really interesting point there at the end Jeff made this becomes an older and whiter field for the top tier candidates.”

Gloria Borger added, “I think Kamala Harris’ problem was —she’s a great candidate, she’s terrific on the stump, but you have to be able to tell people what you stand for and what you want to do for them.”

Apparently they have forgotten about the other younger candidates, such as Cory Booker, Pete Buttigieg, Tulsi Gabbard, Julian Castro, and Andrew Yang. Not to mention, Booker is African American, Gabbard is Samoan American, Castro is Mexican American, and Yang is Asian American.
