CNN doesn't even wait for the body to get cold before moving on to the next step. On Tuesday, editor-at-large Chris Cilizza suggested that former Vice President Joe Biden “step aside” for running mate Kamala Harris to take the reins.
Cilizza made a point that Biden selected Harris because he thinks he will truly win, but won't be able to finish the job.
He wrote:
At 55 years old, [Harris] represents a younger generation of leader — something that Biden, who will be 78 on Inauguration Day 2021, said was a major factor in his choice

What that all means is that Biden wants the race to be about him as little as possible.
….
What Biden did is make the pick that maximized his chances of continuing to make the race a straight referendum on Trump while also selecting someone, in Harris, whose resume suggests will be ready to step in if and when Biden decides to step aside.
Did you read that? He said they "will be ready to step in if and when Biden decides to step aside." So CNN is literally admitting that Biden is not up for the job and is barely hanging on long enough for someone else to take over.
As if that was not obvious enough, Biden's own announcement of his running mate makes it sound as if Harris will start “to lead this nation starting in January 2021”:
