"The" Ohio State University is seen as a top-tier powerhouse in college football. Well, according to a report, that may be coming to an end.
Ever since the NIL (name, image, likeness) rule came into play and college players are now able to be paid, it has changed the landscape of college sports. With college football prospects raking in massive profits obviously things are going to be different.
According to a report, the powerful Buckeyes are falling behind in the bidding war to get top commits to Columbus.
Per Dave Biddle, editor of 247Sports and CBS’ Bucknuts, and host of 97.1 The Fan’s “On The Money,” the Buckeyes were not even able to pay a prospect even half of what he was looking for.
“Ohio State missed out on a 5 star recruit because they could not pay him even half of what he was looking for. They didn’t get him over $750k.”

According to McNeil, the kid ended up receiving $1.8 million from the University of Georgia.

These kids are demanding serious money. And the University of Georgia, which just so happens to be ranked number one going into the College Football Playoff, is willing to pay it.
It will be interesting to see how the landscape of college football looks in the next few years while the NIL rules continue to dictate where the big recruits go.

"Harm reduction kiosks" are being funded by the Biden administration in rural Kentucky. These vending machines will allow drug users to acquire drug paraphernalia without actually having to talk to another person.
The administration will spend $3.6 million to test how well this works in Appalachia, starting in Northern Kentucky. The kiosks will contain items and substances such as naloxone, syringes, fentanyl test strips and condoms, according to a report from the Washington Free Beacon.
