Let This Dad Serve as an Example of What NOT to do on Christmas Morning

A TikTok video has gone viral, featuring Utah father Josh Jones, aged 33, showcasing a room adorned with Christmas stockings. Among them are stockings for Josh, each of his children, and even the family dog. However, a surprising discovery is made in the footage: an empty stocking, conspicuously standing out among the others.

“Whose is this?” Josh asks from behind the camera. “Is this an extra one?”

“No, that’s mine,” Josh’s wife Aubree Jones responds while forcing a laugh.

In the video, when Josh questions why Aubree's stocking is empty, she responds softly, "I don’t know. Santa didn’t come for me."

Aubree added a caption to the clip saying, "It took him 10 years to notice it’s been empty this whole time," and described the video as a "PSA for husbands everywhere."

The people who saw the video were not laughing with her.

“All of us women felt that in our stomach. That hurt,” one person commented

Another said, “I got a bit teary.. you can tell there is some pain behind the ‘that’s mine.’”

The video, originally recorded in 2021, was posted by the couple last month after they found it on Aubree's phone. Aubree mentions that Josh made up for the oversight the next year, and she was delighted to find her stocking filled with carefully chosen gifts.

Despite Aubree and Josh uploading additional videos and addressing the criticism, people continue to express strong feelings about the situation.
