I don't know about you, but I watch sports for entertainment, to take a break from politics and the normal issues of life. Unfortunately for us, we can't even watch sports anymore without having a political agenda shoved down our throats.
Major League Baseball (MLB) is one of the last places I expected to see players disrespectfully taking a knee during the National Anthem. Yet, here we are.
Perhaps what is worse than the players taking a knee is the fact that MLB is actually defending the protestors on Twitter! Maybe it's time to take a break from baseball as well.
Breitbart reports:
Major League Baseball came out in defense of players who knelt during the national anthem on Monday evening, taking on critics and tweeting in support of the Black Lives Matter movement.
As Breitbart News reported, several members of the San Francisco Giants took a kneeduring the playing of the Star-Spangled Banner during a preseason game hosted by the Oakland Athletics before an empty stadium filled with cardboard cutouts.

It has never been about the military or the flag. The players and coaches are using their platforms to peacefully protest.

One person responded and said, "pllllleeeeaaaseeee stop posting things like this. yes black lives do indeed matter. but it’s a polarizing topic. keep politics out of baseball!"
To which MLB replied, "Supporting human rights is not political."
Sorry, but disrespecting our flag, troops, and National Anthem is not how you "support human rights."
Supporting human rights is not political.

Protest on your own time. However, when you're being payed to play ball, don't try to act oppressed and turn into an activist then.
