Many people threw cold water on Michael Cohen's credibility. Donald Trump Jr. says Cohen "lied under oath" about not wanting a White House job. Even Jake Tapper and Dana Bash of CNN know that his testimony was nonsense.
Cohen was one of Trump's personal lawyers. His testimony in front of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform went on the same day that President Trump was having his second summit with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un in Vietname.
Per LifeZette:
Cohen found himself in special counsel Robert Mueller’s crosshairs as part of the investigation into allegations of collusion between Trump campaign officials and Russia.
Trump’s former lawyer claimed the president directed him to violate federal campaign finance laws to influence the 2016 presidential election by making hush-money payments to two women who claimed they had affairs with Trump. The president denies those allegations.
Cohen pleaded guilty to charges of lying to Congress about his business dealings with Russia and the Trump Organization during the presidential campaign. His prison sentence begins in May; he was sentenced in December 2018 to three years behind bars.
When asked by Rep. Jim Jordan about whether he was looking to work in the White House or was looking for a position, Cohen rejected that. Cohen said he was “extremely proud to be personal attorney to the president of the United States of America.”
“I did not want to go to the White House,” Cohen stated. “I was offered jobs. I can tell you a story of Mr. Trump reaming out [former White House Chief of Staff] Reince Priebus because I had not taken a job where Mr. Trump wanted me to, which was working with [former White House counsel] Don McGahn at the White House general counsel.”
Donald Trump Jr. quickly stepped in and disputed the claims of Cohen.
I bet there dozens of people that would swear under oath that this is a lie. Including me.

Trump Jr. wasn't done. He pointed out that Cohen lied under oath about three times about not wanting a job in the administration.
Don’t forget #cohen also lied under oath about 3 times saying he wasn’t interested in a role in the administration. In truth he actively lobbied anyone that would listen for the Chief of Staff role or anything else.
Plenty of reporters know it.
He can’t help but perjure himself https://t.co/9Qz8ON1VdI

Eric Trump also jumped in and pointed out how Cohen was lobbying everyone to be Chief of Staff.
Michael was lobbying EVERYONE to be “Chief of Staff.” It was the biggest joke in the campaign and around the office. Did he just perjure himself again?

Here is a video from CNN where they talk about how it was well known Cohen wanted to be a part of the Trump administration.
CNN: Cohen isn't telling the truth when he said under questioning by Jim Jordan that he didn't want a job in the White House.
Dana Bash: "He very much wanted a job in the White House."
