Elon Musk Set to Donate Staggering Amount to Help Trump Win Back White House

Billionaire Elon Musk plans to donate $45 million per month to a super PAC backing Trump, following his endorsement of the former president. This comes after Trump survived an assassination attempt on Saturday.

America PAC, formed last month with financial help from Musk's friends, supports Trump. Notable members include Palantir co-founder Joe Lonsdale, the Winklevoss twins, and former U.S. ambassador Kelly Craft and her husband Joe, CEO of Alliance Resource Partners.

The group has spent at least $6.6 million on Trump. He was nominated at the Republican National Convention on Monday. America PAC focuses on voter registration and urging swing state residents to vote early and request mail-in ballots, countering Democrats' efforts.

Musk, worth over $250 billion, plans $45 million monthly donations to the super PAC until the election. The largest known donation this cycle came from Thomas Mellon's great-grandson, who gave $50 million to a pro-Trump super PAC.

A recent filing showed America PAC had $8.75 million in contributions for the three months ending June 30. Musk is expected to start his donations this month. He reportedly donated to the super PAC last week, but the amount is unknown.

In March, Musk said he wouldn't donate to Trump or Biden. Now, after the assassination attempt on Trump, Musk is endorsing him fully. "I fully endorse President Trump and hope for his rapid recovery," Musk wrote on X, comparing Trump to Theodore Roosevelt.

Musk and Trump have become friendly, talking more frequently. Trump knew about a project Musk was organizing to prevent voter fraud.

Musk has criticized Biden and supported Trump on X. He also donated $100,000 to a GoFundMe page authorized by Trump to help shooting victims and their families. One rally attendee died protecting his wife and daughter, and two others were injured.
