Last week Alex Lorusso, executive producer of The Benny Report on Newsmax, tweeted that Twitter should release Twitter's internal discussion to censor the Post's Hunter Biden laptop story. Musk agreed that it is necessary to restore the public's trust.

Many on the right celebrated Musk's acquisition of Twitter, calling it a victory for free speech. Meanwhile the left warned that the acquisition would turn Twitter in a bastion of hate speech.
The Twitter CEO has described himself as a "free speech absolutist." He said the reason he acquired the platform is "it is important to the future of civilization to have a common digital town square, where a wide range of beliefs can be debated in a healthy manner, without resorting violence."
"There is a currently great danger that social media will splinter into far right wing and far left-wing echo chambers that generate more hate and divide our society."
