FBI Able to Identify Man Throwing Rocks During Anti-ICE Riot

The FBI has identified the man accused of launching rocks at federal officers during the anti-ICE riots in Los Angeles County. On Monday, the Justice Department announced that 40-year-old Elpidio Reyna of Compton, California, is now wanted for assaulting federal agents during the weekend chaos.

U.S. Attorney Bill Essayli confirmed Reyna’s identity in a statement and said the suspect was caught on video attacking law enforcement vehicles in Paramount. One federal officer was injured, and multiple vehicles were damaged. Reyna has not yet been arrested, and the FBI is offering $50,000 for information leading to his capture.

“Elpidio Reyna can run, but he can’t hide. He threw rocks at federal officers leaving a command post in Paramount on Saturday, a brazen attack caught on film and that could have resulted in deaths. Reyna, 40, is charged with assault on a federal officer, and faces up to eight years in prison if convicted,” Essayli wrote on X.

A video shared with his post shows a man in a motorcycle helmet throwing large rocks at marked federal vehicles. The footage is now part of the FBI’s manhunt, which has escalated with the announcement of a reward.

Attorney General Pam Bondi told Fox News' Sean Hannity that the FBI executed a search warrant at Reyna’s home. “He has been identified by the great police work by the FBI,” she said. “So, you can run, you can’t hide. We are coming after you federally. If you assault a police officer, if you rob a store, if you loot, if you spit on police officers, we’re coming after you.”

The unrest that began Friday has already led to dozens of arrests in Los Angeles and San Francisco. Rioters face charges including vandalism, looting, and assault. The violence broke out after ICE began conducting raids across L.A. County, targeting sex offenders, gang members, and those convicted of gun and drug crimes.

President Trump responded by sending an additional 2,000 National Guard troops to Los Angeles and deploying hundreds of Marines. He made it clear he won’t tolerate attacks on military personnel.

“The Insurrectionists have a tendency to spit in the face of the National Guardsmen/women, and others,” Trump posted on Truth Social. “These Patriots are told to accept this, it’s just the way life runs. But not in the Trump Administration. IF THEY SPIT, WE WILL HIT, and I promise you they will be hit harder than they have ever been hit before. Such disrespect will not be tolerated!”
