Senator John Fetterman from Pennsylvania, who is a Democrat, talked to Politico and had some things to say about politics. He talked about Israel and also about James Carville, who is a well-known person in politics.
In the interview, they asked him about some polls. These polls showed that former President Trump was more popular than President Biden. But Senator Fetterman said he wasn't worried about these polls. He believes a lot can change in politics before the next big election in November.
Fetterman also mentioned that some Democrats are not happy with President Biden, but he supports the President. He used this chance to tell James Carville, who has criticized Biden, to be quiet in a very strong way: "shut the F up."
"Like I said," Fetterman continued, "my man hasn’t been relevant since grunge was a thing. And I don’t know why he believes it’s helpful to say these kinds of things about an incredibly difficult circumstance with an incredibly strong and decent and excellent president. I’ll never understand that."
James Carville, a Democrat who gives advice about politics, has been saying that Democrats should be worried about President Biden not being as popular as before. He also talks about President Biden's age, noting that at 81 years old, Biden is the oldest president the U.S. has ever had.
Carville believes it's important to talk openly about these issues. He thinks it's silly to only discuss Biden's popularity or age quietly or secretly. He says these topics need to be talked about more openly.
In his talk with Politico, Senator Fetterman also answered some criticisms about the war between Israel and Hamas. Some people on the left side of politics have criticized his views on this issue.
"I grieve, and it’s awful, the incredible civilian deaths and the suffering," Fetterman said. "It’s awful. War is hell, as they say."
"But only one side has used civilians as human shields," the PA Senator continued. "Only one side has broken the ceasefires. Only one side will systematically rape, torture and mutilate Israeli women and girls in the most unspeakable, awful ways… Without destroying Hamas, there will be no enduring peace and a stable, two-state solution."

This change in how he views himself comes after some Democrats criticized him. He mentioned this especially because of his support for Israel and having strong security at the country's borders.
Meanwhile, Benjamin Netanyahu, who was the Prime Minister of Israel, wrote an article in The Wall Street Journal. In it, he said that for there to be lasting peace, Hamas needs to be stopped, the area of Gaza should not have military forces, and the people of Palestine need to change their extreme views.
