Mike Golic will be waking himself up at an early hour once more. To add to the excitement, he'll be reuniting with his son, Mike Golic Jr., in the studio.
On Wednesday, The Athletic announced that this father-son combination will be launching a new morning program. Viewers can catch this show daily from 8-10 am on the east coast via Samsung TV Plus and DraftKingsNework.com.
They've named the show Gojo And Golic. While it might not be the snappiest title, it's a reasonable choice given that "Mike & Mike is off the table."
In the past, the Golics co-anchored a show on ESPN Radio, where they were joined by Trey Wingo. This partnership concluded in 2020. Post this, Golic Sr. decided to leave ESPN by the end of that year. On the other hand, Golic Jr. extended his association, hosting an afternoon segment until 2022.

Golic Sr.'s most notable role was his 18-year stint as the co-anchor of Mike & Mike, which wrapped up in 2017.
Reflecting on their upcoming venture, Golic Jr. commented that it offers them an opportunity to conclude on a note they desire.
“Me and Dad talked about this for a while,” Golic Jr. said, per The Athletic. “What if we gave this a real shot again? It seemed like people enjoyed it before. It did not end on our terms with our show last time around, so we sort of get a chance to go out here and write the ending however we see fit.”
His father echoed similar sentiments, sharing fond memories of their previous collaborations. The senior Golic revealed that collaborating with his son was the most enjoyable experience of his career.
“It became a collaborative effort with DraftKings,” Golic Sr. said. “They said, ‘Well, if you want to do this, we think the natural thing is to put you and your son back together. As long as I did a show at ESPN, from Tony Bruno to Greeny (Mike Greenberg) to Wingo, the most fun I had was doing it with one of my kids. So this was a no-brainer.”
Lastly, the show's broadcasting will be managed from studios based in Arizona and California. They will also be joined by Jessie Coffield, another co-host, broadcasting from Boston.
