An Ohio high school has reportedly suspended two football players from the team after they flew a flag honoring first responders during the 9/11 game last week, despite the school warning them not to fly it.
“When the Little Miami High School football team took the field Friday, Sept. 11, a couple of players carried alongside the American flag a Thin Blue Line and Thin Red Line flags,” Local 12/WKRC-TV reports. “The problem is, the boys had asked the school permission prior to the game and they were denied and told if they defied the order, there would be consequences.”
Brady Williams and Jared Bentley flew the two flags to honor the fallen firefighters and police officers on the 19th anniversary of the radical Islamic terrorist attack in New York City on September 11, 2001. Williams' father is a police officer and Bentley's father is a firefighter.
Two Little Miami football players pay the price for civil disobedience. They were told not to carry onto the field thin blue line and thin red line flags at their 9/11 game. They did anyway. “I was all for it,” Bentley said. “Because my dad is a firefighter, and if it had been him killed on 9/11, I would have wanted someone to do it for him.”
“I don’t care what my consequences are,” Williams added. “As long as my message gets across, I’ll be happy.”
However, Superintendent Greg Power argued that flying those flags represented a political point of view.
“We can’t have students who decide to do something anyway after they’ve been told that they shouldn’t be doing it,” Power said. “We did not want to place ourselves in a circumstance where another family might want a different flag to come out of the tunnel, one that may be [one that] many other families may not agree with from a political perspective.”
Williams denied the flags being a political statement though.“No. Not at all. I was just doing it to honor the people that lost their lives 19 years ago," he said.
Little Miami High School gave the following statement to FOX19:
Little Miami Local Schools is saddened to see this story take such a negative turn. While we understand these students’ desire show their support of our first responders, they did not obtain permission from district officials. Administrators must act when students break the rules.
The Patriot Night program to memorialize the victims of 9/11 was already part of our pre-game ceremonies on Friday and the American flag is the first thing through the tunnel every Friday night. Little Miami enjoys an outstanding relationship with local first police and fire agencies and a Little Miami school resource officer is also a high school football coach.
Little Miami always has – and always will – support our first responders, our veterans, and all who sacrifice to maintain our freedoms.
What a sad time we live in when we cannot even show support for our first responders without it turning into a political affiliation.
Candace Owens: 'Democrats have Abandoned Black Americans'
American Conservative commentator, author, and political activist Candace Owens is continuing to do what she does best: call out the left, especially where it concerns black Americans. She is especially critical of the Black Lives Matter movement and the Democratic party because they are not helping the black community like they pretend to.
She said that they have actually "left black voters behind." While Democratic candidates cater to "the sensibilities of white uber-liberals," President Trump has actually proven to help African-Americans in our country.
Brzezinski: People Who Vote for Trump Are Voting for a ‘Dictator’
On Monday's airing of "Morning Joe" on MSNBC, host Joe Scarborough reacted to President Donald Trump's alleged statement about downplaying the coronavirus in order to prevent panic. Co-host Mika Brzezinski chipped in that anyone who votes for Trump in November is voting for a "dictator."
“People that vote for Donald Trump vote for Donald Trump for whatever reasons they want to vote for Donald Trump,” Scarborough said. “I’m speaking mainly about my friends right now.”
NAACP Chapter President: ‘No Such Thing As Blue Lives' Because 'Being an Officer is a Choice'
NAACP chapter president Bishop Talbert Swan declared that there is "no such thing as Blue Lives" because being a police officer is a choice, whereas black people don't have a choice in the color of their skin.
The NAACP Greater Springfield president tweeted on Saturday that the murder of a police officer is a tragedy, but it's not the same as a black person being killed by the police.

US Navy Pilot Describes His Encounter with UFO Caught on Video, Claims It Committed 'Act of War'
I don't know about you, but to me, it seems that UFOs are actually an undeniable truth that we must accept.
As a kid growing up, I used to believe in UFOs and aliens, but then I grew out of that. Then I came to accept the idea of government aircraft that we don't know about are what some people see when they see UFOs.
