'I Like Tucker': Sean Hannity and Republican Hopeful Vivek Ramaswamy Bicker Back and Forth

A spirited discussion unfolded between Fox News anchor Sean Hannity and Republican presidential contender Vivek Ramaswamy this Thursday.

Ramaswamy informed Hannity that candidates whose "campaign is principally being run by super PACs" aren't in line with the Republican Party's values, admitting that he and the anchor hold "a different view." Additionally, he mentioned those "making money off [their] time in government" aren't "fit to be president."

Hannity took issue with Ramaswamy for only casting his Republican vote in 2020. In response, Ramaswamy stated he "comes in from the outside" and is "not a partisan hack." The Fox News anchor suggested that Ramaswamy appeared to "just want to jump from the private sector", pointing out he "made a lot of money" there, into politics.

In reply, Ramaswamy remarked, “One of the things I loved about that interview with Tucker,” emphasizing that it was a setting where they could engage in "a thoughtful conversation.”

“Praise Tucker all you want,” Hannity fired back. “I like Tucker. I’ve gotten along great with him.”

On Monday, Ramaswamy cautioned Tucker Carlson, co-founder of the Daily Caller, about the potential of the Israel-Hamas dispute escalating to a third global conflict. He underscored the “vulnerability” of the United States to analogous threats. When speaking with Hannity, he reaffirmed his dedication to “avoiding World War III.”

Hannity insinuated that Ramaswamy "[denies] his own words," which could be a nod to the latter's recent rebuttal of a Washington Free Beacon piece he believed took his statements "out of context." Unwavering in his stance, Ramaswamy expressed gratitude to Hannity for his “transparent about [his] objectives” but also reproached the host for “buying the mainstream media narrative.”

“I think people that never held public office, like you, they’re not qualified to be president,” Hannity stated after downplaying Ramaswamy's appearance.
