There has long been controversy over the marital status of Re. Ilhan Omar. There have been many reports that she was actually married to her brother. Now internal emails between the Omar staff indicate that they realize this is a serious issue at hand.
Despite the controversy swirling, Omar has not done anything to clear up the situation. With marriage fraud, a felony offense, at stake, someone needs to clear up the situation.

Internal emails between Ilhan Omar and her staff show that they are aware of the magnitude of the situation, despite not acknowledging it to the press or public.

In the complaint, Tom Fitton of Judicial Watch stated:
"substantial, compelling and, to date, unrefuted evidence has been uncovered that Rep. Ilhan Omar may have committed the following crimes in violation of both federal law and Minnesota state law: perjury, immigration fraud, marriage fraud, state and federal tax fraud, and federal student loan fraud."
Omar's past isn't going away, no matter how fast she runs from it. Once Tom Fitton is locked in on an issue more and more details surface.
The internal email shows that they know this is getting serious.
