During an appearance on MSNBC, James Carville commented that there is a significant presence of "white trashdom" within the GOP and pointed out that Republican Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia often has a "white trash" appearance in terms of her dress.
During President Joe Biden's State of the Union address on Tuesday, several unhappy lawmakers made disruptive noises. This included instances when the president spoke about some Republicans wanting Medicare and Social Security to "sunset." Following these remarks, numerous lawmakers expressed their dissent through vocal disapproval. One such instance was when Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene loudly shouted "Liar."
President Biden: "Instead of making the wealthy pay their fair share, some Republicans want Medicare and Social Security to sunset. I'm not saying it's the majority."

According to The Hill, Republican Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene's attire at the State of the Union was inspired by the recent incident involving a downed Chinese spy balloon. A spokesperson for Greene stated that the outfit was meant to bring attention to an issue President Biden failed to address in his speech, the presence of the white Chinese spy balloon.
"Biden refused to mention it, just like he refused to stop the intelligence gathering operation that traversed the United States and surveilled some of our most important military facilities in the country," Greene spokesperson Nick Dyer said, according to the report.
During a 2021 appearance on MSNBC, James Carville indicated that he possesses a deep understanding of "white trashdom" and joked that Republican Representatives Marjorie Taylor Greene and Lauren Boebert of Colorado could be the subject of a doctoral thesis on the topic.
Sarah Huckabee Sanders, the Governor of Arkansas, gave the Republican response to the State of the Union address on Tuesday after President Biden's speech.
"President Biden is unwilling to defend our border, defend our skies, and defend our people. He is simply unfit to serve as commander in chief," she declared, then continued, "While you reap the consequences of their failures, the Biden administration seems more interested in woke fantasies than the hard reality Americans face every day."
