Jamie Foxx, the actor, has been in the hospital since mid-April due to an undisclosed "complication," according to his family. As there is no update on his health status, a replacement host has been chosen for his game show, "Beat Shazam."

Entertainment website TMZ reported on Wednesday that the upcoming season of the game show will commence filming immediately, with a replacement host taking Jamie Foxx's place. The identity of the new host was not disclosed. Jamie Foxx's daughter Corinne, who typically co-hosts the show with her father, has also decided to step away temporarily to be with him.

According to the aforementioned report, sources close to Jamie Foxx's family have not provided any updates on his health status, but they are requesting that friends and fans keep him in their prayers.

During the filming of the Netflix movie "Back in Action," which starred Jamie Foxx, Cameron Diaz, and Glenn Close, Foxx was unexpectedly hospitalized in mid-April. His daughter Corinne issued a statement on behalf of the family, requesting privacy and describing his illness as a "medical complication."

“From the Foxx Family: We wanted to share that, my father, Jamie Foxx, experienced a medical complication yesterday. Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery. We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers. The family asks for privacy during this time. Much love, The Foxx Family,” Corinne wrote.

Since then, numerous fans and acquaintances have expressed their support for Jamie Foxx, but no one has been able to provide any updates regarding his diagnosis or prognosis. As a result, a body double was allegedly used in Foxx's place to complete the filming of "Back in Action."
