Jasmine Crockett Blasts Trump Supporters, Then Immediately Calls for Bipartisanship

Democratic Rep. Jasmine Crockett is under fire for calling Trump supporters “mentally ill” — moments before demanding bipartisanship to stop him.

During her appearance on Next Question with Katie Couric, the Texas lawmaker was asked about the riots in Los Angeles and President Trump’s deployment of the National Guard and U.S. Marines.

Crockett said the scenes left her “speechless,” then unleashed a fiery rant against the former president.

“I truly have no words,” she began. “You grow up thinking America is a great place. Then you become the adult version of me — and you have a president who is openly a criminal.”

She didn’t stop there.

“He breaks laws, ignores court orders, violates the Constitution — all for retribution,” Crockett continued. “He literally campaigned on it: ‘I will be your retribution.’ It’s sick. And anyone who supports it is also sick.”

Crockett then claimed the country is suffering from a mental health crisis — and blamed it on Trump’s popularity. “This isn’t partisan for me,” she said. “I’d take George Bush any day. Any regular Republican. But Trump? He doesn’t care — and he’s being enabled.”

She expressed heartbreak for military members, saying they signed up to fight for democracy — not be led by someone who “treats them like his own private army.”

Despite her claims of seeking unity, Crockett admitted in a March interview she’s more focused on “resisting Trump” than legislating. She’s also known for past attacks on Republicans — including calling wheelchair-bound Gov. Greg Abbott “Governor Hot Wheels.”

Crockett is now campaigning to lead the House Oversight Committee. If she becomes chair, she’s vowed to launch an impeachment inquiry into Trump.
