McDonald’s is testing a new menu item that some believe could rival the iconic Big Mac.

The fast-food giant plans to introduce this item in the U.S., a move that excites fans who’ve envied exclusive international releases.

What’s causing the buzz? It’s called the Big Arch, according to Snackolator.

Insiders at McDonald’s suggest the Big Arch “could be as iconic as the Big Mac,” the food blogger shared on Instagram. Currently, customers in Canada, Portugal, and another market are trying the Big Arch. McDonald’s will decide on a U.S. rollout based on these tests, Snackolator added.

The Big Arch is bigger than the Big Mac, featuring two beef patties, three squares of white cheddar, a “tangy” sauce, and onions, both fresh and crispy. All nestled in a brioche bun.

The U.S. release date is still unknown, but fans are already eager. Comments on Snackolator’s preview show excitement.

“Oooooo looking forward to it,” one fan said, while another exclaimed, “I will eat that!”

“I would definitely be on board with this 👏,” another person added.

Some Instagram users are thrilled about the possibility of the Big Arch coming to the U.S.

“I'd love for it to come to the US! It would be so cool,” one wrote.

“Yes please! We never get any of the good stuff 😂,” another noted.

Despite the excitement, some doubt it can surpass the Big Mac.

“Big Mac was still better,” someone commented.

“Had it in Portugal,” another shared, but still “Prefer the Big Mac 🙌.”
