On Wednesday, MSNBC host Chris Matthews said that the death of terrorist commander Qasem Soleimani was comparable to Elvis Presley and Princess Diana.
I’m going to give you a second to let that sink it.
Yes, this man said that killing the Iranian general who is responsible for the slaughter of many people is comparable to the king of rock and roll and a beloved royal princess.
“When some people die, you don’t know what the impact is going to be. When Princess Diana died, for example, there was a huge emotional outpouring— Elvis Presley in our culture. It turns out that this general we killed was a beloved hero of the Iranian people to the point where — look at the people, we got pictures up now, these enormous crowds coming out. There’s no American emotion in this case, but there’s a hell of a lot of emotion on the other side,” Matthews said on the broadcast of “Hardball.”
A beloved hero? Seriously? People were REJOICING in Iran for the death of that evil tyrant.
