During a segment on "First Take" on ESPN, NBA insider Stephen A. Smith said younger NBA players were "turned off" by the way LeBron James spoke to them.
“I heard he was speaking out of pocket and in a fashion that really turned some of these young cats off,” Smith said, per Outkick. “This is a new day. It’s a new generation. As we have said on previous shows, when the younger generation was protesting in the streets, they’re not having it anymore. Well guess what? The younger generation of players were not having what they were hearing from LeBron James because of the fashion in which he spoke to them.”
Later on Smith said LeBron "turned everybody off" when he spoke about "the guys beneath me." It left everyone wondering who he is referring to when he says "guys beneath" him. Is he taking his "King James" nickname too literally?

LeBron James loves to pretend to be the king of social justice all while bending the knee to China and allowing his Nike shoes to be made in Chinese sweatshops.
So LeBron James can miss me with his pretend "wokeness." The NBA's ratings have not been what they hoped for in the return and alienating half of the country will certainly not help in that regard.
