No, this isn't a John Fetterman joke, this seriously happened. The state of Pennsylvania reelected a dead guy. State Rep. Anthony "Tony" DeLuca has been dead for a month.
He was the longest-serving representative in the state of Pennsylvania. Despite his demise, he was elected to serve one final term.
Democrat Tony DeLuca served nearly 40 years in the Pennsylvania state House of Representatives.
He died in October at age 85.
He was reelected on Tuesday in a landslide.

Pennsylvania House Democrats said in a tweet that they are very sad about his death but "we are proud to see the voters to continue to show their confidence in him and his commitment to Democratic values by re-electing him posthumously." This will be followed by a special election.
DeLuca did have a Green Party opponent, but not an opponent from the Republican Party. Queonia "Zarah" Livingston, ran on a leftist platform of "environmental justice," "ending the war on drugs," and "reducing gun violence."
Still, there's no explanation for how John Fetterman won.
