I have long said that abortion was simply population control, and that's why the left fights for it. However, they often deny that and state that abortion is for women who don't want a child or can't afford a child. This is the first time I have actually come across a politician stating that we need abortion for the purpose of population control.
Senator Bernie Sanders spoke to attendees at CNN's climate change town hall meeting, and said that abortion is the "key" to the issue of overpopulation.
Yikes. Murdering your own people in order to control the population. That sounds pretty communist to me. Just look at China.
While engaging with attendees, one woman told Sanders, “Human population growth has more than doubled in the last 50 years. I realize this is a poisonous topic for politicians but it’s crucial to face. Empowering women and educating everyone on the need to curb population growth seems a reasonable campaign to enact."
“Would you be courageous enough to discuss this issue and make it a key feature of a plan to address climate catastrophe?” she asked him.
“The answer is yes,” Sanders responded, and added that abortion and birth control are two forms of population control that he “very, very strongly” supports.
“The answer has everything to do with the fact that women in the United States of America, by the way, have a right to control their own bodies and make reproductive decisions,” he continued, “And the Mexico City agreement, which denies American aid to those organizations around the world that are – that allow women to have abortions or even get involved in birth control is totally absurd."
“So I think especially in poor countries around the world, where women do not necessarily want to have large numbers of babies and where they can have the opportunity to birth control to control the number of kids they have is something I very, very strongly support," Sanders concluded.
There is nothing wrong with birth control, which prevents life from forming. However, abortion does not prevent life from forming. It ends a life that has already begun.
There you have it. The 2020 Democratic presidential candidate is all for population control in the form of murdering babies.
