Pro-Israel Comedian Responds to Trump's Gaza Plan

Michael Rapaport isn’t holding back. He says Israelis and Palestinians have nothing to lose with Trump’s plan to have the U.S. take over Gaza.

In a video on X, he slammed past peace efforts. "Nothing’s worked," he said. He thinks people should at least be open to Trump’s idea because it’s something different.

"We’ve tried with the peace accords, the normalizations, the two-state solutions, the this, that, and the third. Every f------ idea has been tried, discussed," Rapaport said.

"I don’t know what to tell you. Something needs to happen," he added. "They’ve been trying and trying and trying, and Clinton and Obama and Bush and Carter, and every single person has been trying and trying and trying and Golda."

"And everybody has been trying and trying and trying with these people. Nothing worked. At some point, people have to go, ‘That’s it, man. You can’t figure it out for yourselves, we’re going to figure it out for you.’"

Joking about Gaza being a Trump property, he shouted, "Mar-a-Lago 2025, motherf-----! Gaza Plaza 2025 motherf-----!’"

He called out critics who are more offended by Trump’s idea than the destruction they’ve witnessed for decades. "Sometimes you have to learn the f------ hard way," he said.

His video caption summed up his stance: "You might not like the TRUMP GAZA PLAZA idea but I don’t know what to tell you at this point. What’s really more offensive????"

Trump recently doubled down on his proposal at a White House press conference with Netanyahu.

"The U.S. will take over the Gaza Strip, and we will do a job with it, too," Trump said. "We'll own it and be responsible for dismantling all of the dangerous, unexplored bombs and other weapons on the site."

He promised to level the destruction, rebuild, and create jobs. "Do something different," he said. "Just can't go back. If you go back, it's going to end up the same way it has for 100 years."

His plan comes weeks after Israel and Hamas agreed to a ceasefire, ending the war that began with Hamas’s Oct. 7 attack on Israel. The ceasefire and a hostage deal were signed in Doha on Jan. 16.
