As President Donald Trump is expected to announce more than 100 pardons before midnight on Tuesday, one of the people expected to be pardoned is Julian Assange. Truthfully, I am rooting for him to be pardoned as well.
However, there are now reports that Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell is threatening the POTUS with impeachment if he decides to pardon Assange.
Isn’t that considered blackmail?
Tucker Carlson reported on the alleged threat on Tuesday night. He said, “Mitch McConnell of Kentucky, the leader of Republicans in the Senate, has sent word over the White House – If you pardon Julian Assange we are much more likely to convict you in an impeachment trial. Well, is it legal to hold that over a president’s head? We’re not lawyers, we don’t know. It’s certainly wrong. But more than that, it tells you everything about their priorities.”
McConnell sold out the president a long time ago. He belongs to the swamp and only works to protect the sleazeballs.
McConnell he has told allies he hopes never to speak to Mr. Trump again and is doing nothing to persuade senators to back him, instead calling the impeachment vote a matter of conscience. https://t.co/Jv1QFngSa4

Biden Chief of State Releases Plans to Reverse Trump Policies on Day One
President Trump spent much of his four years in office undoing his predecessor’s policies, and president-elect Joe Biden is reportedly set to do the same.
Biden is prepared to sign more than 10 executive orders in his first day in office, orders that will permit rejoining the Paris climate accord and cancel the travel ban on some majority-Muslim countries that Trump put into place, according to a memo from incoming chief of staff Ron Klain obtained by The New York Times.
Biden Unveils Plans to Cripple Small Businesses in America
President-elect Joe Biden said his upcoming COVID-19 relief proposal will include a plan to implement a $15 minimum wage across the nation, which would more than double the current federal minimum wage of $7.25 an hour.
Biden, speaking about his proposal on Thursday, invoked the recently increased minimum wage in Florida in order to argue for a similar policy at the national level.
Cuomo Softens Restrictions, But Here's Why It's Too Little, Too Late
After nearly a year of fluctuating restrictions, New York’s Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced his plans to expand rapid testing in an effort to reopen restaurants. In a press conference this Tuesday, the governor declared his intention to breathe life back into his state, proclaiming, “New York will be New York again.” Then, just a day later, restaurants in designated “orange” COVID zones were permitted to resume indoor dining.
While this is no doubt encouraging news for restauranteurs, Cuomo’s sudden interest in their industry’s vitality is too little, too late. As we close in on nearly a year of lockdown, the governor’s change of heart will do nothing to recuperate months of losses, nor will it resuscitate the ever-growing list of businesses who closed their doors permanently as a result of despotic restrictions. Tragically, New York is just one example of what is happening to the restaurant industry around the country, and around the world.
Harvard Students Start Petition for Trump-Supporting Graduates to Lose Degree
A group of students at Harvard University are demanding that the degrees earned by Trump allies be revoked as punishment for their political opinions.
“Harvard must revoke the degrees of alumni whose incendiary language and subversion of democratic processes—rooted in a history of white supremacist voter suppression—incited the violent insurrection on January 6,” the petition said, which was obtained by Fox Business. “This includes all who have used their platforms to deny the validity of the presidential election. They do not and should not represent a university committed to ‘strengthening democracy’ and ‘the advancement of justice.'”
