Screenshots are Forever: White Journalist Tweets Racial Slur at Black GOP Senator, then Deletes it

One thing about the internet is that once something is on there, it's nearly impossible to erase it. In today's age, things are screenshot all of the time. Especially if it is something controversial.

A Connecticut-based sports reporter found things out the hard way after he hurled a derogatory racial slur at Senator Tim Scott, calling him an "Uncle Tom."

Reporter Fred Gerteiny responded to a news tweet by The Hill about Scott stating that he believes President Trump "misspoke" by telling the Proud Boys to "stand back and stand by."

He wrote in response, "Thanks Uncle Tom," but has since deleted the tweet. However, screenshots were taken and it was brought to the attention of News 12 Connecticut, who then quickly cut ties with Gerteiny.

"After reviewing the incident, the network released sports reporter, Fred Gerteiny, as a result of a racially insensitive comment,” the network stated. “News 12 Networks has a zero-tolerance policy for racism or improper conduct based on race, and prides itself on being an objective and unbiased multi-platform news company.”

Gerteiny also tweeted that he "wrote an email to Senator Scott" to apologize.

The Marxist, domestic terrorist Black Lives Matter movement has been nominated for the 2021 Nobel peace prize. Funny, I fail to see where the peace part comes into play.
