'Spare Me': CNN's Scott Jennings Roasts Dems for Quick About-Face

CNN Republican commentator Scott Jennings tore into Democrats on Monday, criticizing their sudden opposition to refugee status for white South Africans despite years of support for open-border immigration policies under former President Joe Biden.

“The same people who had no problem with letting in 20 million illegal immigrants, gang members included, are suddenly outraged about a small group of white South African refugees. Spare me,” Jennings posted along with a video of the segment.

Jennings explained on CNN that the South African refugees are not facing vague or alleged discrimination, but very real threats and systemic racial injustice, including legalized property seizures. “They are subject to racial discrimination, some have been subject to violence,” he said. “We’re talking about 50-something people, and the people who seem to be angriest about this today had no problem with 20 million coming here.”

He went on to criticize Democrats for turning a blind eye to criminal elements entering through the southern border, noting that the Biden-era policies welcomed unvetted individuals, including gang members, while suddenly objecting to a few dozen white South Africans fleeing targeted violence.

Jennings then clashed with Democratic Rep. Seth Moulton (D-MA), who claimed that his support for Biden did not extend to the administration’s immigration policies. Jennings wasn’t buying it.

“You voted for him,” Jennings said. “And you voted to extend the immigration policies of the last administration.”

Moulton insisted that his vote was not an endorsement of Biden’s border stance, but Jennings shot back, “You’re in a party that opened the borders, and I’m in a party that closed the borders, and I think the American people prefer our way.”
