Stacey Abrams: 'Voter I.D. Laws are Racist'

Wow, what a sad attempt by Stacey Abrams to stay relevant!

The Democratic politician appeared on ABC's "This Week" on Sunday, and made a point to attack President Donald Trump. She called him a racist (how convenient) and said that he does not "value humanity." She also claimed that requiring an I.D. to vote is racist.

Abrams said, “I have said many times he is racist. More importantly, he does not value Americans and he does not value humanity. That should be more disturbing to everyone than the title we subscribe to him.”

She added that she wants to create a "fair fight" and stop voter suppression created by voter I.D. laws.

“My responsibility in the primary is to ensure that we’re putting in place a fair fight structure that says in 2020, people will get to cast their ballots and have their voices counted,” she said, “It is this insidious nature that says it’s race-neutral, that we’re just putting these laws in place for everyone. But we know that is has a disproportionate effect on the communities that have long been marginalized.”

It has nothing to do with race. Is she really that daft? Voter I.D. laws are to ensure that only American citizens are voting in our elections. Last time I checked, "illegal immigrant" was not a race but rather a classification for any person who comes into our country illegally.

Abrams served in the Georgia House of Representatives from 2007 to 2017, before running for governor of Georgia in 2018. However, she lost to Brian Kemp. This comes to no surprise considering she likes to race bait.

Abrams also stated that she would not rule out joining the 2020 election as a vice president nominee.
