CBS host Stephen Colbert is calling for people to vote out lawmakers who believe in the Second Amendment, stating that it’s “time to get rid of” them.
He slammed the Colorado State Shooting Association (CSSA) as “gun apologists” for calling for a grieving period before debating gun laws.
“That’s what they say every time this happens. And that’s what I say about what they say every time they say it every time it happens,” Colbert said.
He then attacked Rep. Lauren Boebert for stating that Congress needed to “[wait for] important information and details” before instantly calling for gun control following the Boulder attack.
Colbert he also blasted Sen. John Kennedy for saying, “I don’t believe we have a gun control problem, we have an idiot control problem.”
“Oh, we definitely have an idiot control problem,” Colbert said. “It’s people who don’t recognize that this country has long had a gun problem, John Kennedy. So when idiots like John Kennedy refuse to do anything about getting rid of idiots’ guns, it’s clearly time to get rid of idiots like John Kennedy. And that means voting them out!”
Obviously Colbert has some strong feelings and opinions....feelings and opinions that don’t really matter when it comes to the Constitution and our rights.
The Second Amendment specifically says that it “shall not be infringed,” and yet that is exactly what the left is trying to do by pushing for gun control.
