Taylor Swift Will 'Do Everything I Can' to Stop Trump Re-Election

Oh no, Donald Trump doesn't stand a chance now that Taylor Swift has declared her position against his re-election in 2020! What will we do?

The country turned pop singer said that she will "do everything I can" to end Trump and prevent his re-election. She claimed that she regrets not voting in the 2016 election and is tired of the president "gaslighting the American public."

I doubt she even knows what "gaslighting" means.

Swift told The Guardian“We’re a democracy – at least, we’re supposed to be – where you’re allowed to disagree, dissent, debate. I really think that he thinks this is an autocracy.”

This is in addition to Swift claiming that she is "obsessed" with helping the left "beat Trump" in the 2020 election. She said she is "really focused" on "helping" the Democratic candidate who will be running against him.

"I keep trying to learn as much as I can about politics, and it’s become something I’m now obsessed with,” she continued, "Before, I was living in this sort of political ambivalence because the person I voted for had always won."

"I think a lot of people are like me, where they just didn’t really know that this could happen. But I’m just focused on the 2020 election,” Swift added, "I’m really focused on it. I’m really focused on how I can help and not hinder.

Vanity Fair reports:

Of course, Swift’s opposition to the Trump White House is no secret—she’s spoken out on a range of LGBTQ+ issues over the last few years, and openly admitted some regret with not publicly endorsing a candidate in 2016—Hillary Clinton, she confirms. “I was just trying to protect my mental health – not read the news very much, go cast my vote, tell people to vote,” she acknowledged. A cancer relapse for her mother, Andrea Swift, was reportedly weighing on her, among a range of other issues. “I just knew what I could handle and I knew what I couldn’t. I was literally about to break.”

Swift believed her public image would have made her something of “a hindrance,” but she’s gotten past that.

The pop star has also stood against Conservatives working to end abortion. She said, “Obviously, I’m pro-choice,” adding that her intent is to “do everything I can for 2020. I just can’t believe this is happening.”

Sit down T-Sweezy. Don't you have a break-up song to write?
