Texas Governor Warns Country to Brace for 'Total Chaos' in the Coming Days

texas governor greg abbott

According to Texas Governor Greg Abbott there are dark days ahead for Texas towns along the southern border.

Abbott made this prediction while appearing on ABC's "This Week" during a Sunday interview with Martha Raddatz.

Title 42 is a Trump administration rule that was pushed through during COVID-19 to send back most migrants crossing the southern border. The Biden administration is letting that rule expire and people on both sides of the aisle are not happy about it.

Unless a last-second appeal to the Supreme Court works, Title 42 is set to expire Wednesday and that is why Abbott is so concerned.

“If the courts don’t intervene and put a halt of removal to the Title 42 it’s going to be total chaos,” Abbott said.

“Whether it’s COVID or some other issue, when you have people coming across the globe without knowing at all what their health status is, that almost by definition is a public health risk. There’s every reason to keep that in place,” he said.
