Of all people to be falsely accused of sexual misconduct, President Donald Trump holds a reigning trophy. While I do not doubt the allegations against former Vice President Joe Biden, I do commend Trump for calling on Biden to at least defend himself and address the situation.
On Thursday, Trump called on Biden to respond to the allegations against him from a former Senate aide.
"I don’t know anything about it. I don’t know exactly. I think he should respond," Trump told reporters. "It could be false accusations. I know all about false accusations. I’ve been falsely charged numerous times.”
The Hill reports:
The president pointed to Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh, who was accused of sexual assault by multiple women during his confirmation process last year, to suggest men can be falsely accused of wrongdoing. Trump has repeatedly called Kavanaugh's treatment a "disgrace" and dismissed the veracity of the claims against him.
Tara Reade's allegations against Biden, the presumptive Democratic nominee, have gained traction in the media in recent days.
Reade is one of several women who accused Biden last year of inappropriate touching. Biden apologized to the women and said he would adjust his behavior.
Last month, Reade said for the first time in public that Biden had also sexually assaulted her in a secluded place on Capitol Hill in 1993. She is the only woman to accuse Biden of assault.
Biden’s campaign brushed off the allegations. However, the Demoratic nominee has not publicly addressed them himself.
He is currently scheduled to appear on “Morning Joe” on Friday and is expected to answer questions about the claims.

Another Stimulus Package in the Works, Here's What to Expect
By now, most Americans have received their stimulus check from the government for $1,200 per adult with an additional $500 per child on top of that.
There are, however, some who have not received their money yet and still there are people who need far more than that to get by. I don't think it will be very much longer before we get another check or at least some sort of assistance.
