President Donald Trump poked fun at the former first lady Michelle Obama and other Democrats for pre-taping their speeches for the Democrat National Convention.
“These are all taped speeches. Michelle Obama, her speech was taped,” Trump said on Monday, after he previewed the opening night of speeches.
“You want to go to a snooze?” Trump said, “You know when you hear a speech is taped, it’s like there’s nothing very exciting about it, right?”
He also pointed out the fact that a taped speech can be rehearsed and re-taped until it came out perfect. “Why don’t they tell me that?” he asked, “I’ll tape my speech, next week … I’ll make sure it’s perfecto, every word will be perfect.”
The president also mocked Fox News for covering the Democrat speeches. “Fox will broadcast them more than they broadcast us,” he added. “You know that.”
I have to agree with Trump on all of the above. The speeches can be practiced until perfect, and Michelle Obama's speech was nothing short of a snooze fest.
During her doom and gloom speech, Obama declared that President Donald Trump is the "wrong president for our country" and then suggested that not everyone will listen to her because she is a "black woman" speaking at the convention.
