Tucker Carlson, the ex-Fox News anchor, has sealed an advertising contract with his new media venture, Last Country. This deal, estimated to be worth upwards of $1 million, was finalized with the conservative-leaning shopping application, Public Square, commonly referred to as PublicSq. The CEO of PublicSq., Michael Seifert, confirmed the partnership on Friday.
Earlier in July, CNBC initially revealed some aspects of the partnership between Last Country and PublicSq. This was shortly before PublicSq. marked its debut on the New York Stock Exchange. The Wall Street Journal has identified Carlson's latest venture as Last Country.
With the 2024 presidential election looming, this collaboration marks the beginning, as many more advertisers are anticipated to join forces with Carlson. Seifert indicates that PublicSq. commercials will begin airing on Carlson’s show from November. The show is broadcasted on the social media channel X, previously known as Twitter, and will continue throughout the peak months of the upcoming election campaign.
“People are going to be paying attention,” he said.
Seifert further mentioned that Carlson's website and other platforms will also feature the ads.
PublicSq., along with its leadership, has expressed opposition to business investment strategies focusing on environmental, social, and governance factors. Seifert highlighted that their product promotions will be integrated into Carlson's show.
This partnership between our two companies will employ a reach not found anywhere else.

“Tucker is going to speak very candidly of the importance of patriotic small businesses and if viewers want to support it, go to Public Square,” Seifert said.
Since its launch earlier this year, Carlson's show has garnered millions of views, following his contentious exit from Fox News. The program has showcased interviews with notable conservative figures, such as former President Donald Trump and the 2024 Republican primary hopeful, Vivek Ramaswamy.
The split between Carlson and Fox News occurred after the channel's parent company settled a defamation lawsuit by Dominion Voting Systems for a hefty $787.5 million. Carlson was a significant figure in the public discourse surrounding this lawsuit.
After going public, PublicSq. has onboarded board members with Republican affiliations. Notably, Nick Ayers, former chief of staff to then-Vice President Mike Pence, has joined the board. Additionally, former U.S. Senator Kelly Loeffler, R-Ga., has been named as a member of PublicSq.'s board of directors.
