There are many lockdown cheerleaders out there. You know, the people who get on Facebook and demand you stay in your house. Most of these lockdown hypocrites are sitting at home getting a fat paycheck from the government. Many others are lucky enough to have a job that was deemed "essential" by the government.
Many business owners, particularly those in certain blue states, are unable to get out and earn a living. Wheel of Fortune host Pat Sajak took to Twitter to call out the hypocrisy of those who are telling people to stay home when they are able to earn a living themselves. Such as journalists, disc jockeys or talk show hosts.
Sajak tweeted:
When a disc jockey or a talk show host or a journalist who is being paid to work from his or her home tells people who can’t work, pay bills or pay their rent or mortgage to “Stay home and be careful because we’re all in this together,” it’s okay to question the premise.

It's easy for Hollywood millionaires to tweet from their mansion and tell everyone "we're all in this together" as well as "stay safe, stay home." It is much harder for someone whose business is collapsing in front of their eyes to stay home than someone who is unaffected by this lockdown financially.
The economy is slowly starting to reopen with some states taking longer than others. Some states refuse to acknowledge there is definitely a risk/reward assessment with the lockdown that needs to be done. It's not as easy as just putting the economy into a coma and waiting for all illness to go away and then waking it up at the conclusion of the virus.
