You knew the removal of the Washington Redskins was not going to be enough. The "outrage mob" has now moved on to the Texas Rangers.
They weren't even able to wait a day. The same day the Redskins gave up the team name they have used for decades, Washington Post editor Karen Attiah said Major League Baseball must deal with “the violent and racist implications of its name.”
“To know the full history of the Texas Rangers is to understand that the team’s name is not so far off from being called the Texas Klansmen,” Attiah said in an op-ed in the super liberal WaPo.

Attiah grew up in Dallas and attended many Ranger games with her father. Perhaps this should peg her as a racist? But she did not yet know the Rangers “were a cruel, racist force when it came to the nonwhites who inhabited the beautiful and untamed Texas territory.”
The thing about the outrage mob is they're never happy. You knew once the Washington Redskins changed their name they'd quickly find a new target. It will happen again if the Rangers were to give in and change their team name.
