WATCH: Crowd Screams as Indonesian Rock Band Gets Swept Away by Tsunami

Crowd Screams as Indonesian Rock Band Gets Swept Away by Tsunami, Indonesian Rock band Seventeen

It was an incredible scene caught on amateur video as a crowd screamed as an Indonesian rock band was swept away by a tsunami. Band members went tumbling off stage as it collapsed, as the video from Sunday shows.

Around 200 employees of the state electric utility company gathered at Tanjung Lesung beach to celebrate for an end-of-the-year party when they were struck down by a tsunami Saturday night.

The video footage from Facebook shows the people at the party enjoying the music and having a good time before waves crashed into the stage and members of the band were swept away.

"Underwater I could only pray 'Jesus Christ help!'" Zack said, who is a crew member of the rock band Seventeen.

"In the final seconds I almost ran out of breath," he said, adding that he was able to survive by hanging on to a part of the collapsed stage.

There were at least 168 deaths and hundreds of injuries due to the tsunami. It was triggered by an underwater landslide after the eruption of the Anak Krakatau volcano. The death toll is projected to climb.
