'We're Not Going Anywhere': Police Surround NFL Star's Home With Arrest Warrant

Tampa Police tried and failed for over an hour to get Antonio Brown out of his house to execute an arrest warrant.

The former Tampa Bay Buccaneer and Pittsburgh Steeler wide receiver did not respond to any of the requests from the police to exit his home. At one point an officer shouted “We’re not going anywhere,” into a megaphone and Browns still did not exit his home. This was additional to knocking on his door.

According to a report from ABC News, Brown was notified by the police from outside that they had already contacted his lawyer.

The Tampa Police said that Brown “poses a significant danger of causing personal injury to him or herself or others in the near future and beyond by having a firearm or any ammunition in their custody or control or by purchasing, possessing, or receiving a firearm or any ammunition,” according to ABC News.

Tampa Police are concerned that Brown has access to two guns, including a handgun he usually carries.

A protection order and arrest warrant were filed in relation to an altercation between Brown and a woman that resulted in Brown throwing the woman's belongings out of the house. It was also reported by NBC News that Brown “threw a shoe at the victim, striking her in the ponytail.”
