'White House Crashers': Hollywood Star Meets With Trump, Hilarious Meme Ensues

Vince Vaughn made a surprise visit to the White House on Friday and met with President Donald Trump. The moment didn’t stay under wraps for long—it showed up on the White House’s official X account in meme form.

The post featured a spoof on the 2005 comedy hit “Wedding Crashers,” which starred Vaughn and Owen Wilson. It was rebranded as “White House Crashers,” complete with a fake movie poster of Vaughn and Trump together.

Vaughn’s visit wasn’t listed on Trump’s official schedule, according to The Hill. That only added to the unexpected nature of the cameo.

“Wedding Crashers” followed John (Wilson) and Jeremy (Vaughn) as they partied their way through weddings. The plan fell apart when John fell for Claire, the daughter of a powerful politician.

Vaughn has spoken about his politics before, calling himself a libertarian. “I’d rather say let people make their choices, and they can make different choices and have the consequences of their choices,” he said in a New York Times interview.

This wasn’t Vaughn’s first public appearance with Trump. In 2020, they were spotted chatting at the College Football Playoff National Championship in New Orleans.

That moment drew backlash, but Vaughn defended his behavior. “In my career I’ve met a lot of politicians who I’ve always been cordial to,” he told the Los Angeles Times.

“I don’t have a party that I support and endorse,” Vaughn added. “In fact, for me sometimes it’s difficult to find a candidate that you feel is philosophically consistent.”
