U.S. Attorney General Bill Bar slammed big tech companies and Hollywood for "kowtowing" to the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) in a press conference at the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Museum on Thursday.
“If American corporations continue to bow to Beijing, they risk undermining both their own future competitiveness and prosperity, as well as the classical liberal order that has allowed them to thrive,” Barr warned, per The Federalist. “American companies must understand the stakes. The Chinese Communist Party thinks in terms of decades and centuries, while we tend to focus on the next quarterly earnings report.”
Barr blasted Hollywood for bending the knee to the CCP in hopes of more profits. He mentioned a report that different scenes of movies being "adjusted" so they don't offend the CCP. For example, in World War Z a scene suggested the virus the film is based around may have originated in China, but that was switched.
“Chinese government censors don’t need to say a word, because Hollywood is doing their work for them,” he said. “This is a massive propaganda coup for the Chinese Communist Party.”
Barr also took on Apple. He said that have removed "pro-democracy songs" from the music store that Chinese audiences access. A news app was also removed because the CCP was unhappy with their coverage of the Hong Kong situation.

Dwyane Wade Tweets Support of Nick Cannon, Immediately Deletes and Backtracks
Earlier today Nick Cannon wasfired by ViacomCBS after making anti-Semitic remarks on a podcast. Former NBA star Dwyane Wade took to Twitter to voice his support, but quickly backtracked, deleting his comment and clarifying his stance on the issue.

Attack of NYPD Officers by Protester Caught on Tape, Including Attack on Chief of Department
A protester assaulted a group of New York Police Department officers and it was caught on tape. One of those attacked was the highest-ranking uniformed member of the department. This happened Wednesday during a demonstration on the Brooklyn Bridge.
A tweet by NYPD around 12:30 p.m. ET on Wednesday showed the attack by the protester as well as the injuries sustained by the officers. They were hurt by the protester swinging a long object.
